4 Jul 2009 - Broxbourne Open Day
Broxbourne Council will be holding the annual community Open Day on Saturday 1 July at the Borough Offices in Churchgate, Cheshunt, between 2pm and 5pm. This free family event will host a number of community groups, with something of interest for all age groups.
There will be live music being played by local band ‘Loose Change’ as well as a performance from the Vallé Academy. There will be a number of activities for children, including a bouncy castle, a ‘spider’ climbing activity, football coaching sessions and face painting. Children will also have an opportunity to have their photo taken with ‘Bob' running throughout the afternoon and information on this year’s pantomime, Cinderella, which takes place in December at the Broxbourne Civic Hall, will also be available.
Residents will be able to learn about council services and visit over 50 other local organisations exhibiting at Open Day. These include Broxbourne Runners, Cheshunt Dramatic Society, the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, S.E. Herts Beekeepers, Herts Family History Society and Hoddesdon Model and Railway Club. Many other local groups and organisations will be in attendance to provide information and family fun.
Entry to Open Day and participation in the activities are free. All residents and their friends are invited to attend this community event.
